No power

2 new dresses! Thanks Grandma!

Ready to go!

We saw a bride!

Looking at her...

The truck from the power company working...

Keeping an eye on them.

My mom's leg after the mosquitos attack!

Strange things are happening here. Yesterday, as soon as my mom got home, we had a big storm. First we could not see due to the dust and then, heavy rain. It lasted only 10 minutes but left us without power all night. We called the power company and they came 2 hours later. No luck. They could not find the problem. They were just in front our house, so we could see all the works. They left. Then at 3 am they came back. This time they had 2 trucks. Finally at 5 am the power came back. Then we went to bed to sleep. My mom and I are missing some blood in our bodies. The mosquitos had a feast with us because we had to have the door opened to get some air. 112 degrees is not to be inside with doors and windows closed.

Then this morning, first thing to do.... checking blogs. My mom has my blog as starting page. And we could not open it! We tried and tried and tried... nothing. We tried with some other blog.... nothing. Then we tried using Mozilla. It worked! Now, as my mom is not in a mood to make experiments, we will be using it from now on.

Now, after a well deserved and long nap.... we are ready to visit your blogs again.

I hope you all are having a great weekend
Besos

Others have been having problems with blogs today. We haven't because we always use Mozilla/Firefox.

2 new Dresses?? Do you have your own closet?

Wow, I thought it was hot here but it's really hot where you live! I'm glad you got the air conditioning back--we dogs really suffer in the heat. I've had problems with blogs, too, but I keep using IE. Your grandma is a terrific seamstress--those dresses are very pretty.

Beautiful dresses. Sorry about the power. My mom says ouch your poor mom. Mine would be scratching up a storm. We always use firefox and still sometimes have problems with blogs.

Wooo woo! (That's my wolf whistle!) Those sure are cute new dresses, Lorenza!

You know how brides need something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue for good luck on their wedding day - maybe you were her something blue!

My Mommy got devoured by mosquitos when we were up in the mountains in June. Poison ivy AND mosquitos. Mommy is not having the best of summers.

Can't even begin to imagine 112 degrees and no air conditioning. I'm going to go take a cool bath at just the thought!

Your pal,

Petey

P.S. Lorenza, does it matter that that rose was 5 stories high and in the middle of Times Square!?!?

YIKES!

That is way too warm - this furry Siberian would NOT be a happy khamper -

Yes, we were having assorted issues Friday night whilst visiting others - The AO4's dad saw it was related to site meter - so some took that OFF and they worked - but we switched to using Firefox for the time thanks to Eva and Brice's advice!

I'm sorry you and your mom were chewed on sooooo badly!

Your G-Ma makes the bestest dresses. Have her make you one so you look like that bride. We are sure you would be just as beautiful. Grammie says is she gets around insects her legs look just like your moms. Your power company sounds a lot like ours.

Hi Lorenza!

Sounds like you had a terrible time. Seems that the power goes out at the worst possible moment. 112 degrees? Yikes!! And no air conditioning?? Double Yikes!! Your poor mom. All those mosquito bites look terrible. Hope that she doesn't suffer with them too much.

What's Mozilla? I never heard of it. It's not that margarine that you spread on toast is it? If so, I think that we may have some of that.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Lorenza, you and your Mom have had a stressful weekend! I'm sorry about the electricity and those Mosquitos stole blood! I don't like those suckers...they are not nice.

I had problems getting onto your blog yesterday via Internet Explorer. You are right, Mozilla allowed me to see your sight...weird huh? I am on Internet Explorer now, and your blog is working just fine. Maybe there was a glitch in their systems. I hope the rest of your weekend goes a whole lot smoother!

Hugs,

We thought your pink frocks looked so good, but now we are undecided - blue is definitely your color also Lorenza. You had quite a ruff night with now power and the heat - my god the heat! Those mosquito bites look pretty brutal. We've been reading about other bloggers having trouble with IE, and we haven't (we use Mozilla firefox too) Hope you're having a nice weekend

Hi, Lorenza -

You had no power? That's probably why we could not log onto your blog.

We know what you mean about mosquitos liking blood. Mosquitos like Mama a lot too. But they really seem to really like your Mom - we hope the bites are not bothering you and your Mom too much.

We agree with Maggie and Mitch - you should have been invited to the wedding.

Love -

Those are beautiful dresses! Your grandma is so good at making them!
Sorry to hear you're not having the best of times. No power, mosquitoes, and 112 degrees don't sound very appealing. But we hope it gets better!
Have a great day!

Those bug bites sound horrible. Mom told me about mosquitos-we don't have many here in california but she used to get bitten alot in Tennessee when she was a little girl!!

I hope it wasn't too scary without power! It looks DARK!

Lorenza,

My mom said she would probably collapse in 112 degree heat without airconditioning. That does not sound like fun at all and the mosquito bites look so itchy! My mom has a few on her legs and they're driving her nuts. Your grandma makes beautiful doggy dresses. I've said it before but she should sell them! You are the best spokes-model around!

I don't like to wear clothes, but if I had a grandma who made me pretty clothes like your grandma makes you, I might change my mind!
