We thought...

that Hurricane Alex had gone for good. But no. I guess he wanted to stay with us for some more time and yesterday morning we woke up to see our street...

Flooding...

It was until the afternoon that we could go out for a walkie...

Fresh flowers...

I saw some of the doggies...

In barking mode... as always

I am tired. Can we go back home... please??

*******************************

I enjoyed a lot reading your posts about your names!
Some of the ones I remember and that have anothere meaning in spanish are:

Bobo - Silly
Moco - Booger
Mona - Doll
In Spain, the sun is called Lorenzo

Have a good night

So, does "Lorenza" mean sun, too?

We haven't been around enough lately to pawticipate in the name game - but it sure has been fun reading other people's stories!

I hope your town is getting back to normal now after Alex ravaged through it!

Hi Lorenza,

I apologise for this request, but I need some help as I am sick.

You can help me by directing some traffic to my blog and hopefully, one of your readers is able to help me.

A million thanks in advance.

Eeek floods! We have them often and they're a pain. Mexican Spanish is very different from Spanish Spanish!

Huskee and Hershey said...

Oh no.. the flooding looks bad! It looks like a giant pond.. It's nice that you managed to go out for a walkie and sniff some pretty flowers!

ocmist said...

Gee, Lorenza, we hope that it isn't to hot with all that rain. That would be way to HUMID to even breathe, let alone go for a walk. All your "friends" were probably just glad that they could get out for a few minutes without being rained on and wanted to tell you about it! :) The CCC

What! It looks like we are the first to comment tonight! Hurray!

I'm glad it finally stopped. I hope mean old Alex leaves you alone. And I hope he doesn't have too many friends either. It's so early for hurricanes to hit North America, isn't it? Makes one worry, but I guess there's not too much point in that. Anyway, I'm very glad you got your walk in.

Holy moly! We hope Alex is all gone now so you can get back to all your walkies!

How you got your name is kind like how I, Patches, got my name. When Mom was getting ready to bring me home, she had a list of "P" names and our dad asked her when she was going to get Patches. Mom didn't even have THAT name on her list!
