New internet service...

The internetman never came to fix our connection. The signal came by itself at the end of the last week. It means, our modem was not broken. It was a general problem but they never told us that. As I told you my mom made a contract with another company and the new "service" came in a box the same day we had back the signal from the other company. The man with the box told my grandma... "Sign here and enjoy your internet!" ???? The box was on the desk for almost a week... waiting for my mom to install it... And finally she did it yesterday!!

I like this one! Its spokesman is a dog!

It says... "Wireless kit"...

Here I am giving my mom moral support...
As you know my mom knows ZERO about all those things. But she got the courage and started following all the instructions... One cable here, another there, insert the CD, follow the steps... something went wrong... out the CD. In the CD.... some HBO words... out the CD! Finally the screen said "Congratulations!". Took away the cables... no signal... put again the cables, there it went the CD again.... more HBO words.... until she got it! Ufff!
She turn off everything and we went to have lunch. Then we came back, she turn on the laptop and it did not work. Off.... on.... off.... on.... nothing. I saw her and noticed she wanted to cry... I came close to her... she gave it another try and... Ta-Daaaa!
My mom likes the new internet. It is supposed to be the same velocity as the other but this works faster! Lets hope everything goes well from now on!

We watched again the Yankees!

And the parade too!

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

I'm so glad your internet is fixed!

I almost WENT to the Yankee parade. My boyfriend is a big Yankee fan and wanted to go, so we almost went, but I wasn't feeling so well and didn't want to wait in the crowd for so many hours. It was cold out, too!

Good evening lorenza
Congratulations on the birthday though it slowed.
It can eat a wonderful cake momentarily.

Cheerleader's lorenza is very lovely.

The setting of wireless of the new Internet seems to be difficult.
However, if the setting ends, the happy Internet can be seen at high speed.
A wonderful weekend with Internet freedom.

All those internet and computer things are a big pain. They have caused lots of HBO words in our house too Lorenza. I'm glad that your mom finally got it to work so that you can be connected.

Your friend,

Lorenza Tell MOM we are VERY PROUD of her!!! Great job. My mom knows Minus Zero about technical stuff. But she too might take longer but at least our Moms are willing to try so that we stay connected. We love seeing your work space and where you sit to help mom with the Blog. We hope that nast Ida doesn't come your way. If so head for the covers..I'll be thinking of you.

Hi Lorenza,

I am proud of your mom for getting the internet connected. My mom wants to get wireless when she has to get a new computer. I hope it will be a laptop, so we can do my blogging outside! BOL

Congratulations to your mom. She managed to solve that wireless riddle. I know what you mean about the ???wireLESS???? thingy. I wish you could have seen behind mom's desktop computer BEFORE I caused her to tie up the wires. We won't go into those nasty details, Okay.
MY Yapstop is wireless!!! She did learn from that other experience. hehehe
You give your mom some extra licks for a job well done.

We recognize things in those pictures. Baskets of loads of toys. Miles of loads of wires. What's missing is the moma's bottom sticking out from underneath the desk! Hahaha! If only we could use those flashy boxes the way they do! The pictures we'd get! (But then again, maybe your moma didn't need to crawl underneath that desk.) The good news? She was SUCCESSFUL!

And ... a little late ... Hooray for the Yankees!

Good thing your mom kept trying. \

If it makes you feel any better, over Labor Day Weekend, the "Can You Hear Me Now" company service was not working....they told us each day to "stay home from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m." and they would be out to fix it....late on the Monday, they discovered something afoul in THEIR switching, and just turned it back on.... no comment on that.
