My Christmas tree is finished...

Giving it a look...

I like it!

The front door ornament...

Making sure they did it well...

What do you think??

My mom had two "interesting" days.
Our new internet service is provided by a phone company. Knowing that this one works pretty good, my mom went to cancell the "old" one that we get through a cable company.
She had paid for a year of service. When she told them she wanted to cancell it and to transfer the amount paid to our cable tv service, they told her it was not possible. Why? Because the payment had been applied to the internet service. "It is no longer in use..." "It does not matter..." She asked to talk with their supervisor... He was not there... "Someone else to talk about that..." "Nobody..." End of the story??? "You will not get your money back..." "You are robbers".... "Maybe we are".... "I am going to sue you"... "Do it... those things don't work here". Then they asked my mom why she wanted to cancell the service... "Because it is the worst".... Oh, yes we have heard that"
She left that place bitting her tongue to not say HBO words!
Then, she went to the postal office to buy the stamps for my Christmas Cards.
A fact: Torreon has a population of 1 million of persons and there is only one postal office. "I need stamps for 120 cards that are going to different countries." "Which countries?" "These, these and these". "We don't have that many stamps" "Whaaat?" "We will have them in 2 weeks" "Whaaat?"
She went to the next town... No luck. She went to the next next town.... a very small one... where finally she found the soooo wanted stamps!
Last night, my cards were ready to be sent!
Today morning... my mom went to work. At 9am my grandpa called her to say that the phone was not working. My mom thought.... "This must be a joke!"
She does not care about phone at home. She never uses it. But... the internet works with a phone line... My mom did not know if she wanted to laugh or to cry! She made the report thinking how many days it could take for them to check it. 10 minutes later she called my grandpa (to his cell phone) to tell him that it was reported and... guess what?? The "phoneman" was already here to fix it! My mom could not believe it.... Here you can get used to bad services and this one is really good!
I am so glad everything is in order here and now we can have a nice weekend!
I hope yours is very nice too!

Those cable companies are not very nice to their customers. Our mom has been fighting with ours cause they took two payments out of her checking account this month and won't give one back. Robbers is right!!

That is just terribe, I would keep calling everyday until the evil cable co finds the supervisor! How rotten and rude!

At least your Mum gets to look at your beatuifully decorated tree! It sure is BIG and PRETTY!

Way to go on the Xmas Cards, my Mom just said, oh my, I forgot about that!

Wow, what an ordeal, your Christmas tree looks pretty though.

We would like to give you an award to, you can get it at our blog.

Hi ya Lorenza! Love that door wreath!
Really sorry about all the hassles! My mom had a similar internet/phone situation a while back. It was so agrivating. She couldn't work from home, no phone nor internet...and the resolution to the problem seemed to be WAY TOO SLOW. Grrrrrrrrrr.
But, glad to see you! Sounds like stamps and phone problems are resolved at this point.

Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

My momma is laughing along with your mom because she is one tough customer for sure. I would not want to cross her path.

Our internet service place has bullet proof glass! I think I know why because they can make the people go cracker dog.

Your tree is magnificent.

Oh Lorenza, your Christmas decoration is just AWESOME! I especially love your ornament. Last year we only had a tiny christmas tree in the Clinic. This year, because they are spending Christmas with me, the Animal Doctor promised to put one up in our house.

Im sorry that your Mom had to go through something like that with the internet company. I hate bad service too!

Ay cuántos problemas en la vida... Pero los adornos navideños te han quedado de maravilla.

Yogui said...

Your tree looks beautiful, Lorenza! And mom MADE all your ornaments?? Wow! We too find post offices to be very frustrating places, so you are not alone. And no one ever likes to deal with the cable company, so tell your mom not to feel too bad. I think all the people who get fired from the post office must get jobs at the cable company!
