Well, well, well.... You know my mom, right?? And she knows how much I love to go out for my walkies. Problem is the heat. And the ground being sooooo hot! Then she got this idea in her mind and was thinking... and thinking.... and thinking....
Then 2 weeks ago, my grandma was on the phone talking with her sister who lives in Mexico City and she told her about me not being able to go out. My grandauntie told my grandma about some sandals she saw in a store there. My mom took the measure of my paws, she called back my grandauntie and I got the sandals today.
My mom took 4 videos. Something happened to the first and the third videos. I guess I have to be thankful about the first one being lost. My grandma and my mom were LOL... and I mean LOL... that combined with my reaction...it was embarrasing!
It was not so bad at the end. It was nice to go out not feeling my paws burning!
There is just one issue with the sandals. Like almost everything made in Mexico... it looks like the 4 sandals are for right paws! Hmmm....

Oh no! Well, I wore boots this winter to keep my feet from getting too cold and it was worth it because I got to go to some pretty neat places, and it did keep my feet from getting frozen. If it were that here, I'd want to keep my toes cool, too! You do look like you got the hang of it by the end!

Oh Lorenza, they should not be laughing at you. If it makes you feel better, when we put wraps on horses, they do the very same thing. Pick their feets up way high. It looks like that will help you go out for walkies though. Take care.
Well, between wearing the booties and the harness - you could be a sled doggie!!! Woooo! The only problem I see is that the red in the sandals sort of clashes with the pink leash/harness set ... so I think you need a new leash and harness to match now!

OH the humiliation! But I must admit Lorenza, those shoes look kinda cute on ya. Red is SO your colour! I hope those things weren't too uncomfortable for you. I actually had to wear shoes several times & I don't like it very much but I quickly got used to it. Sometimes, I don't even realize that it is on me.
We did not laugh, OK, maybe just a little, but you are just so cute!

Hi Lorenza, now you know how I felt when my dad put on rubber boots on my feet to protect me from the rain and sow and other yucky things. My rubber booties look like flatten balloons and they look funny. Together with my yellow raincoat, well, you get the idea. The neighbors are still laughing :(

Listen Lorenza, don't worry over a few laughs. I wish I had sandals to wear because when I come in from my hot weather walks, I put my feets in my water bowl and my Mom says, what a mess!
Walking on the pavement hurts when its all hot out and you are smart to wear your little shoes, matching or not!

Just read the last few posts about the major plumbing work chez vous. Hope it's all done now and everything is working the way it should. That's a big headache.
We think your shoes are cute and we hope they help protect your paw pads when you have to go outdoors. Do the shoes have an absorbent liner, so your paws can still sweat the way they need to in order to help keep you cool? We can't tell from the package. And we agree it is way too hot to wear any of your cute dresses! Do you think a bandanna soaked in cool water would help you feel cooler when you're able to go walkies?
