What I did to deserve this??

Well.... I licked... and licked... and licked my paw.

But I am very smart because I did it when my grandparents were not looking at me so they thought the problem had disappeared.

Nope. It did not disappear. It got worse.

My grandma called my mom and when she came home today afternoon she took me to the Vet. He checked my paw and it was very irritated. He cleaned it and applied an ointment and then he put me the bandage. He gave my mom an spray to be applied 4 times a day. He says this should be enough but... if I insist on licking it.... I will have to wear a headcone! Oh-oh!

Yummy homemade chicken jerky....

I will try to be a good girl.... promise!

Have a good night

Sorry to hear about your paw Lorenza. Ambrose sometimes licks himself too much and gets hotspots but usually on his rear end not his paw! We hope that it gets better soon so that you won't have to wear the satellite dish on you head. It would not look good with your dresses.

Poor baby! My old Saint Bernard had surgery on her elbow when she was a young girl. She shattered all the bones when she ran into a truck (yes, she ran int o the truck). They bolted and screwed it all back together and applied a cast. It was a lovely pink one and we brought her home and helped her to her large bed on the floor. The next morning the cast was in several pieces and Louise was limping around on three legs. When we took her back she got a purple one and the biggest head cone imagined!! She hated it. She couldn't even walk through doorways. She kept knocking her food and water dishes over. Be a good girl and stop licking...... you do not want a cone!

We think you should behave so you don't have to wear a head cone. But if you do, we hope it will be one of the soft, floppy ones so you don't knock yourself out jumping on the couch. (Buddy nearly did that jumping on the bed once when Jan had him in a stiff collar.)

At least socks aren't funny. Sheesh...

Hi dear Lorenza,
I hope you stop to lick your paw very soon.

I will write a comment to your Mom in Portuguese because I don't know how to say it correctly in English, sorry. My English is "weak".
