An Award for my mom

My mom deserves an Award. The Most Idiot Person in the World. Yes. If you know where I can find that award... please let me know.

You see... two weeks ago, the brakes of my mom's car started making shrieking noises. With all the money she spend on her molar surgery and my own surgery, she took the car to a shop that is near to her office and not to the car agency where she always goes for all the services that her car needs. That other shop made the job. Expensive and bad job. She had to go back 4 times. The problem was not solved. Then last wednesday she noticed that the lid that covers the nuts of one of the tires was missing. She went again (on her still shrieking car) to that shop asking for it. They told her they did not have it. Then she told them that the car still had the shrieking problem. They told her that that was very rare but that if she wanted to leave the car there again they could check it. She told them... tomorrow morning. Then she went to a Chevrolet agency that is almost in front of that shop to buy the missing lid. While she was waiting for it, she talked to the shop supervisor there and told him about the car. Well... next day my mom took the car there and they made the job. And he told my mom about all the things the "original" car agency did not do to her car all these years! Hmmm... and the bill grew and grew! She had to pay twice for the same job. My mom's savings are gone. Now she hopes her car will behave until next October for its normal service!

On happier events... finally I could wear a dress!!

Looking ahead...

Looking up there...

Watching someone...

A new friend! Her name is Camila. Her mom was with her in her yard. It was great that being a girl she did not bark at me! Her mom said that I looked pretty on my dress and when my mom told her that I have around 140 dresses she said she could not believe it! Haaaa!

An interesting smelling under this tree...

I hope you all are having a nice and relaxing weekend!

That's a horrible thing to say, Lorenza! Your momma is not an idiot. It's just that those nasty car-fixing humans like to cheat people all the time. It's what humans do. They cheat each other. Maybe we should be the ones putting THEM on a leash!

Anyway, great to see you back in your pretty dresses again!

Martine said...

Oh Lorenza,

We are so sorry to learn of your mom's car problems. We too had some car issues and had to end up getting a new car. It ended up working out ok since we needed to get a more baby appropriate vehicle... but now we must pay more each month for this new car! :( OH well! That is life II guess.

Glad you met a new friendly furiend!!! Love your dress as always!

I think you are too hard on your Mom, Lorenza! You should understand its not so easy to know the right thing to do all the time.
So, I wish you would tell her you are sorry!

You look beautiful in your dress, did the stitching all come out?

Bobby said...

Guess the car guys are the same all over, if you find a good one you are lucky. I was waiting for my car once when I heard them laughing about a women bringing her car in for a knocking noise, she got a hefty bill it was just the jack lose in her boot.
Well that dress sure looks pretty, I knew you had a lot but wow, you must have a big clothes closet.

Sam said...

Oh wow - I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and her car issues! I hope it gets resolved once and for all.

Looks like you made a nice little friend there! I can't believe you have 140 dresses, either!

Jan's Funny Farm said...

Your mom isn't an idiot, Lorenza. She might be thinking she's one at the moment, but she's not. She was cheated by some mean, greedy humans!

You look very pretty in your dress and your new friend is cute.

Noah the Airedale said...

Blimey, that's terrible. Your poor mum was ripped off by those awful people. You should bite them Lorenza!!!
You look so pretty in your blue and white dress.

Oh, your poor mom. Don't be hard on her, Lorenza. I know that she's mad at herself. But she should be mad at the car repair shops, too. A lot of these places will take advantage of a woman. They know that she can't fix the car herself and that she needs them, so they will cheat her and bill her for work that they didn't do. It happens a lot. We hope that your mom can find an honest place where she can get her car repaired and they won't lie to her about fixing things that they didn't.

Meanwhile, I bet it felt good to get back into your dresses. You sure looked nice on your walk.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,

Hey there Lorenza
Tell your mom that she is NOT and 'idiot'...these things grant us wisdom: It is said that for every success there are seven mistakes! We love your mom!...and your pretty blue dress! Do send our love to your amazing granny too!

Martha and Bailey said...

Lorenza, you must not be cheeky to your mom - you sound like a teenager!
We are sorry your mom had an expensive time with her car - there are these useless mechanics all over the world who shake their heads and take your money without fixing anything!
We just loved your pretty dress today - so lovely with the bow.
Good that you got to meet a friend too - maybe you could come play in the mud hole with us!
Martha & Bailey xxx
ps it is mother's day in the UK so be very nice to your mom today!

Jemma and Tofu said...

Oh Lorenza, it is not easy being a human, that's what my mom always tells me. Those car people are known to cheat people, especially females! When it comes to car things, my mom never goes by herself.

By the way, you mentioned in your comment on my latest post that you get your glands expressed every month -- is it out of routine from the beginning or did you have problems, so you need it done frequently? I usually get mine done every month, too, but I didn't scoot these past few months and mom thought it was safe...

Niamh said...

Nothing makes our person more crazy than dealing with car stuff so we sympathize with your mom.

Love the blue bow on your dress Lorenza! Very pretty. Glad to see that you made a new friend.

Madi and Mom said...

Lorenza what a beautiful DRESS!!! We love the bow.
Poor mom with her car woes...tell her not to beat herself up over it. We believe the first place misrepresented themselves....not a nice place at all. Now you Mom can tell everyone she knows what a poor job they did then they will be sorry them were not honest.

Car places are always looking to make money from you. Unless you are a mom once had her muffler replaced 4 times then took it to another shop and they were able to fix it for good. But then that shop turned out not to be so great afterwards. Even new cars are not so great (think Toyota). We all just do the best we can and pray that we have enough in savings!

Love your pretty blue dress.
140 dresses??? Is that all. I would have thought there were way more than that. They are all soooo pretty.

Mayzie said...

I thinks your mom deserves an award for putting up with mean, dishonest peoples and not biting them! (She has my permission to bite them if she wants to, though.) It is Most Sad that there are peoples who would take advantages of other peoples like that.

On the other paw, I think you look like a Most Beautiful Princess in your dress! I bet you feel like a princess when you're wearing your dresses, don't you?

Wiggles & Wags,

Lorenza, please do not be hard on your mom. The humans get busy brain and sometimes do not think clearly and make poor choices. At least your car is safe now, right?

Not to mention you are wearing pretty dresses again. Hooray!

Some humans just aren't as nice as all of ours, and it sounds like they took advantage of her! I bet she feels bad enough herself, so go give her some lovin, OK??

Such a pretty dress, Lorenza! I think the person who deserves the idiot award is the people at that first car shop. Definitely!

Oh, we know about car stuff...but on the brightside all is fixed and you look beautiful in that dress.

Lorenza, I love your pretty blue dress! I bet my coonhound would love to wear the dress, but in a much bigger size, of course! I'm sorry your mom had such a hard time with her car but I don't think she needs an "idiot" award because, really, the mechanic is the one who needs the award instead. You are soooo lucky that you are a dog who doesn't have to worry about driving a car! Four feet are much better than four wheels anyday!

Rambo said...

if you find that award, send it to G-Mom too. She has made MANY mistakes just like your Mom's. But G-Mom said she has learned that she will never do it again. So sometimes the humans just have to learn things the hard way. LOL!

Mack said...

Oh that is terrible about your mom's car. My mom says she has been down that road before too (whatever that means!)

Twix said...

I'm so sorry your Mom had to deal with such icky humans that took advantage of her. If I ever see them guys I will bark and growl at them for her.....that does not make me a happy doggy! She doesn't deserve an idiot award, she deserves the "How dare you cheat me out of my hard earned money" award!
Your dress is beautiful and I am glad it is warm enough for you to wear them again. It is cold and rainy here.
Snuggles and extra hugs to your Mom,

Your poor Mom, we are so sorry she had all that trouble with her car. It sounds like that place took advantage of her or else they didn't know what they were doing.

You look gorgeous in your dress, we really like you in blue. Camila seems like a nice furiend for you too.

Happy Sunday.

Ok, don't be mad, you know I was just joking. :)

At long last, on the first day I see you wearing your clothes over your booboo. Camila is your new furiend, huh? Well, I say you apologize to your mom for calling her ... and then maybe she'll let you play with your new furiend.

Huskee and Hershey said...

Ummm.. our mom may have that award stashed somewhere in the house. She's totally qualified for that award too.. heehee..

Sorry to hear about the car issues your mom had. Fixing and maintaining a car is so expensive and it burnt a hole in dad's pocket when we sent our car for a scheduled servicing in Dec!! We think many of those car workshops are rip offs and now we only send the car back to the original maker. It's expensive but at least we can have peace of mind.

You are looking gorgeous in your dress!! Can't wait to see you model more...

Marg said...

That is really too bad that your Mom had so much trouble getting the car fixed. It is the same everywhere. Everyone tries to cheat you.
You sure look good in one of your dresses again. And that is a really pretty one. Have a great week.

Lorenza, you are always meeting doggies on your walks. I think you need a business card to hand out to your new friends. Then they could come visit you at your blog!

And then you can always blog about which car repair stores do a good job and which ones don't!!!! I am sure your new dog friends that you meet on your walks would want to know.

Lorenza, your momma is most beautifual and intelligent. It sounds like the only idiots are the ones who worked in that shop!
