Lots of HBO words wednesday...

Today was one of those days where everything was against us...
First the alarm clock did not work, soooo we woke up late. Then, my mom tried to turn on the tv and the remote control did not work. Then she opened the closet to get her jeans and when she tried to close it again... the door got stuck...

Here it is the door that refused to close....
Then, when we were ready to go, the light bulb of the scary stairs failed and it was very dark.
Then when finally my mom went out to go to work... a car was blocking her car! 15 minutes later, the owner of that car came to move it...

This afternoon my mom came with these things.
A new remote control, a new alarm clock and a light bulb!
And she was able to fix the door too!

Oh, boy! I think I had never heard so many HBO words in my life!

Have a good night

Don't you just love days that start like that, I am glad everything got fixed. The most annoying thing for me would have been the inconsiderate person who blocked the car in.You would have had to cover your ears Lorenza.

Lorenza, tell your Mom that dispite all the HBO words it really was a good day. Because your Mom was able to fix everything by herself it was a good day. Better than having to call in the man to fix everything and paying a BIG bill!

To a much better day!

Teehee! "HBO words"! I love it. Granny calls them "zeros". (Long story, I guess when my Mom was a kid, she and granny and grandpa would go on walks after dinner, and Mom though that it seemed like granny and grandpa had the same conversations over and over again, so Mom suggested that they just number the conversations so they didn't have to repeat them; they could just say the number. And since grandpa uses as lot of "HBO words", Granny decided to make those "zeros"). Anyhoo... I hope that today is better for all of you!

Hahahah HBO words! I don't even know what those are, but I'm sure they're a bit like the words that Momma and Pops use when they play videogames that I'm not allowed to use.

I have to tell you those stairs scare me too. I hope you never have to try and go down them.

Oh my goodness, Lorenza - what a terrible day!! Your poor human! But she's great at just tackling the problems...with your help, I'm sure! :-)

By the way, check out my latest post - I just got a new pink coat so I can look ALMOST as stylish as you!! :-)

Oh - and I'm so sorry I've not come visiting for ages!! Hsin-Yi was away overseas at this Ian Dunbar conference and then when she came back, our Google Reader was on 164 and when it gets like that, she just becomes like an ostrich and tries to hide from it and pretend it isn't there...and now our Google Reader is on 241 - aaaarrrggghh!! So I have forced her to sit down and help me visit some friends otherwise it's going to be the dreaded "Mark all as read" button!!

Can you spell any of them? :)

Two Schnauzers from New England said...

Hi, Lorenza -

That must have been a "comedy of errors" day for your Mom. We have had nothing but rain for the past two days and now it is snowing AGAIN.

Mama went to work in the rain the other day and got soaked. To add insult to injury some motorist decided to splash a lot of water on her - she said a few HBO words.

Love -
