Last saturday, when my mom changed my pajamas, she noticed a little bump in my back. And she thought that something had bitten me, maybe a mosquito. I spent almost all sunday doing the "itchy dance" against the sofa. I heard lots of "No Lorenza", "Stop it, Lorenza".
Yesterday I did the same "dance" until my grandma checked me and she saw I had a big and red bump. She called my mom and my mom called my Vet and next thing I knew... I was at the Vet's office having a minor surgery!
He did it only with local anesthesia and I was a very good girl and I let him work. He said a spider bite me! Mean spiders! All of them!
Now, I have a zipper in my back and what is worst... I am naked... and it is cold here!
And that is the reason I could not visit all of you last night but I promise I will do it... now!

I had a tick sucking my blood on the weekend, but it was removed by my dad with big tweezers and didn't really hurt! I got some treaties afterwards, so then I was really happy :-)

Spider bites are nasty, Lorenza, very itchy but at the same time painful. Glad you were able to get things taken care of but sorry for the ouchie.

Oh Lorenza! We feel so bad! It has been forever since we've visited (and no excuse is good enough) and THIS is what we find when we come back! We are soooo proud of you for being such a good patient, but we feel so bad that a spider bit you and this is what happened. (We can't let our Girl know. She'll be even more frightened of spiders than she already is!)
How long will it be until you can wear your pretty dresses again???

Oooh. Now you are temporarily a Franken-wiener! I hope you heal quick! Mr. Bufus had a couple of tumors removed one time, and had some big zig-zag stitches on his back, but when they healed, you wouldn't have known they were there unless you really looked for them. I'm sure you'll be back to your beautiful wardrobe in no time!

Oh, Lorenza, that is so awful! We've got a couple of types of spider that can cause a problems bite around here... Black widows, brown widows, and Brown Recluse spiders. I hope that they got the whole necrotic patch so that you won't have anymore trouble. I'm surprised that they don't let you put on something that would cover it and then you could put on some of your clothes to stay warm. Dott
