I am not happy...

Looking at this face... do you think I am happy?? Of course not!

Let me explain you. Last Monday night, my mom noticed I had made "mushy poop". She thougth I had eaten something that I should not.
Tuesday morning, we she went to work, she told my Grandma to keep an eye on "my bussiness". In the afternoon, my poop was not so liquid so my mom thought I was ok.
Wednesday my Grandma called my mom to work to tell her my poop was again mushy and that I had been like sad during the day. My mom called my Vet to make and appointment and he told her to take me there at 5 pm. There we went and... OMD! First, he checked me from nose to tail. Then, he stole my blood. Then, he went away to run the test. He came back. Everything looked normal. A light dehydration and something that indicated to him an infection. And here it came an injection.
The worst part? DIET!
First he said "Nothing tonight".... WTF??? And for the next 3 days, no kibble, no veggies, no treats! Only twice a day a special food that comes in a can and more antibiotics.

Special food and antibiotics...

When we came home I asked my mom for my dinner. No luck! Then I asked her for me treat. No luck! I was starving! I went to sleep with my tummy empty!
This morning, my mom put that "special food" in my bowl and... and... EWWWW!
I did not like the smell of it and it looked disgusting!
Fortunatelly, my Grandma had boiled rice and chicken in the fridge! My mom washed my bowl and put it there the homemade food and.... YUMMY!

Homemade food... boiled rice and chicken!

Today, my poop "looked" better and I played with with my ball again!
I hope these 3 days go away fast because I am missing my veggies and my treat!

This is what I did when my mom said "Sorry Lorenza, no treat for you tonight"!
Hmmmm....

Have a good night

Poor girlie! Sorry to hear of your tummy troubles. Marge had the mushies about a month ago and had to go on pills for a week.

Oh sweet Lorenza!!! Feel better. Our little Mama Pajama has a bad disease of her pancreas, but that means she gets home cooked rice and meat for the rest of her life! Maybe you could get home cooking forever if you play your cards right.

Poor Lorenza! That medicine food tastes like crap! You are lucky to have the rice and chicken from Grandma. That is much better.

I am taking antibiotics too and they are making me feel like myself again, so try to make sure you take all your pills. Hang in there.

I can understand why you're not happy, Lorenza, but I think that special food is delicious! My mom hates it, though (not that she's eaten it LOLOLOLOL).

Poor Lorenza, Sadie said " You should take two treats and call her in the morning." Sadie thinks treat make everything better.

Hey Lorenza,

I hope you feel better very soon. I think it is wrong for the humans to starve you like that. I mean, how it that gonna make you feel better?

I bet humans sometimes have mushie poos! You know they do!

My suggestion to avoid this in the future- poop where they can't see you! My humans have no idea where I poop. They only find it by chance if they happen to run over a pile with the tractor.

Oh, girlfriend! I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. That sounds like what I had a month or so ago. I had to eat that same food, take antibiotics and the doctor said I had an infection. You will be back to normal very soon! By the way, use this and your beautiful sad eyes to get your family to feel bad for you and they will give you extra treats when you can have them again!

Hey there Lorenza
Oh we are sorry that you are not feeling well...your face truly does tell it all.(and you have the bandage too as evidence)
That Hills Science diet is very good, but your Granny's rice and chicken are an old favourite of ours too when your tummy is not right! Indeed, I think the tinned food is exactly that! - only in tins.
Anyway we hope you get better soon. Your family is doing a great job of looking after you.

We're sad you aren't feeling well, Lorenza. And we hope your tummy gets better soon so you can have the things to eat that you like. Personally, we like that dogfood. We keep it on hand so that when our VSBs (very sensitive bellies) flare up, we have it to eat. We gobble it up (though Moma only gives us very small portions at at time.) We think it is mostly chicken and rice in a can, though. It sounds like you may be getting the real thing! Yum!

Feel better,
We want to see you smiling again.

Thank dogness your Grandma had boiled rice and chicken.
We have never had that but our mum's last dog Harry would have that if he was poorly.
He would never eat any food the vet gave him!!!
We cannot bear to think of you going to bed with an empty tummy.
We do hope you are all better soon - you will soon forget the nasty injections and the blood being stolen.
We could see you had a little bandage on your paw.
Be sure to let us know how you get on.
love you lots

You poor girl. A shot and then food you don't like! Arrow had to eat that food too. My mom found another food that we love and it works the same. It's called Nature's Recipe Easy to Digest (lamb rice & barley= with no corn, beef, wheat, fillers, etc.) If you have a big pet store they probably have it and it's not too expensive. Now we eat it all the time. (Now we have the canned and mixed with the kibble in the morning)

I hope you feel better.

Oh Lorenza - sorry for my late comment! You poor thing - what a terrible experience! I hope you are feeling better now.

You know, when I get 'mushy poo' and an upset tummy, my humans just starve me for 24hrs (on advice of the vet) to give my stomach a chance to rest and then start again with a very bland diet - like chicken and rice (your Grandma has the right idea!) - my human doesn't believe in those special prescription foods - she thinks often they are just marketing gimmicks for the pet food companies to make more money and often, simple home remedies work just as well. eating good quality, fresh food is always best than something made in a factory with lots of preservatives!
