Reina tagged me to talk about the first day I came to live with my mom. It was december 23th, 2005. My mom says that she saw an ad in the newspaper and she called asking about me. They told her that I was a girl and she went there to see me. I know it was love at first sight. She didn't ask many questions, she just wanted to get me! She bought a bed, a collar, an harness, a leash, a sweater, bowls and food for me. They put me ribbons on my ears and we were ready to go home. When we got there my grandma (who was sick those days) and my grandpa were so happy to see me there. But like an hour later I poo and it was watery. Then my mom gave some food that I ate happily but then I started puking and puking! My mom didn't know what to do, so she called the vet and he said it was normal because of the change of environment!!! Later my mom was wrapping some presents. She was on the floor and I pee and poo on the wrap paper! Then at night my mom left me on my bed but I started crying and crying so she took me with her to sleep on her bed, so the bed she bought for me was history!! I spent the next 15 days going everyday to the vet until he found that I had my tummy full of worms! 15 days and he didn't know?? Can you believe that! My mom thinks that is a miracle that I had made it! The next 4 or 5 months I had lots of health issues but finally I could get better and began my happy life with my family!! Thats it!!

Now I'd like to tag Pacco, Peanut, Pippa, Poppy, Pugsley and Putter to tell us about their first day at their homes!

Have a good night

Hi Lorenza, that's a very interesting story about your first days with your mom. our mom's friend has a dachshund and that doggy sleeps in her bed too. i think that's just how your kind of dog likes to sleep. that's way too bad about your wormy tummy. it's so good that your mommy got you and is taking such good care of you!

Lorenza, we remember you telling us once before how sick you were when your mom brought you home. We are so glad they figured out what was wrong with you because now you are a beautiful girl. Your mom, grandma and grandpa love you very much. They will treat you the way dachsies and all doggies should be treated.

Poor Lorenza. It sounds like you had a tough start with those worms. Ozzie had stomach problems too. We hope you are safe from the storm and that you don't get too much rain.

Hi my sweetie,

You and I are both so lucky. We both would have gone to the rainbow bridge a long time ago except for our Mommies. DROH has some great Vets that wouldn't give up on me. Mommy wasn't even my Mommy then just a foster and she kept me with all my faults.

I'm a big boy now and love every minute of life just like you do.

We finally got our blog: http://justustexasdachsies:blogspot.com -- come by and visit soon.

Love......your Toby and the gang.

My doGness, It sounds like you had quite a bad time when you first came home. Its lucky that you have such a loving Mum who looked after you. Even though you peed and pooed everywhere. Well! We have to learn when and where to go right?
