Very hot day...

The weather here during the last 2 days has been almost impossible. It is very hot!
I don't want to imagine how it will be on July and August that are the hottest months!
Aaaand due to the temps I had not been able to go out for walkies and that is not funny...

But, today morning I had my breakfast and then I saw my mom choosing a dress for me!
And then... we went out for a very nice walkie!

A big tree lived here... the big hole means it will be replaced for another one...

All dead at the top.... new life at the bottom.

This is a lemon tree. It is in front of a house that was uninhabited for a long time. My grandma used to bring a bottle of water to "feed" it. And we used to take the lemons that fell to the ground. Now, there is a family in that house but they don't take care of the tree and we no longer take the lemons. We don't want to be called "thieves"!

To the right...

To the left...

Anybody there??

It is getting hotter.... time to go home!

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Hi Lorenza, it's been quite cool up here. Perhaps an average of 12 degrees C. Even the big tress outside don't have broad, full leaves yet. We are probably about a month behind and likely won't have local strawberries for another month. We could go for walkies together but I think that we'd have to put a raincoat over your dress to keep you dry.

Stay cool Lorenza :-) Those early walks are the best in the hot weather! A couple of years ago, mom would get up at 5:30 or 6 ON WEEKENDS to take us for walks. It was really quite lovely. Last summer she was lazy :

-Happy Sunday!

Your little dress is really beautiful and it's lovely to have a walk early in the morning.

It seems it should be very hot over here as we really near the equator but the weather is a bit strange lately. It's very hot in the morning and then it changes into thunderstorm in the afternoon; the heavy rain will last for a couple hours too.

Have a good Sunday, Lorenza!

Lorenza you beautiful girl! I have missed out on so much! Great dress! (as usual) and goodness me I'm pretty sure me and Ma could come and steal some of that heat from you. We are getting chilly and ready for racey season again, hopefully we don't get more snow this year! Lucky girl for still getting out and about though!

I bet you could still take the lemons, the tree be on the outside of the street so I think it belongs to everyone.

We want a lemon tree! Too bad it's not yours. It has been hot here, too, but probably not nearly as hot as it is there!

Well you look very cool in your sundress Lorenza! But we don't like the heat either. Today it is supposed to get up to 90 degrees so we will stay inside where it is cool.

You look very cute in your dress. It is sad that they don't take care of their lemon tree. Maybe you can work a deal that if you take care of it you get the lemons?

Happy Sunday...we too are sorry to say the 3 H's (hot, hazy, humid) have arrived in NC. I expect last week was the end of lovely days in the 70's until October. Your sundress is very pretty.

It's that time of year where you either have to leave early or late to get a walk in, isn't it?

It's a shame they don't take care of that lemon tree - we have one in our yard and we find all kinds of uses for the lemons!

Wow, that is abig hole there. We hope the new tree does well. Too bad about the lemon tree - it doesn't take that much effort to water it, silly humans living there.

You have a very pretty dress on, good to protect you from the hot sun. It is warm here too, but today we have the threat of severe weather - very bad storms around last night.

Hope you can get some cooler weather soon.

Lemons .......... do you make lemonade? It is still chilly here at nighttime. Us dogs like to snuggle under the covers. It has not been hot here, but some people came to swim in the very cold water today!

Mom says that the blossoms on a lemon tree smell awesome! Hey, if nobody wants the lemons, why let them go to waste and rot on the ground!
We hope your weather cools off a bit for you, Lorenza!

Love ya lots

Stay cool Lorenza. I think if the people dont care for the tree and that the lemmons fall onto the outside of their property then anyone can take them. Better than them rotting.. HUgs GJ xx

I think you and Grandma should keep watering and picking up lemons! Such yummy things you can make.

You look lovely as always, Lorenza, so far its not too hot here but its coming, I am sure.

You look lovely in your dress!

We hope the weather cools for you a little - not nice to have such hot temperatures in May!

take care

Oh yea, I so agree with Stella, picking up lemons on the ground in the street is not stealing. I think only if you take them off the tree. I think that Grandma should still walk by with you and "drop" a bottle of water!

Have a cool week.

do you have that song in Spanish:

"Lemon tree, very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet;
But the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat."

Anyway, it is super cold here...wanted to take out my winter coat...rained EVERY day last week; aphids still alive and eating the rose bushes...No sun today and a high of 60F. Wore gloves and and a hat. :(

We're still in the 50s, but out snow has finally melted. (Mom is happy about this - she spent yesterday afternoon ripping up our yard to 'plant grass' - which she hasn't done yet because it's supposed to rain for the next two days, and she says she doesn't want all the grass seed and fertilizer to end up in our driveway... I think she's just sore from her ripping up the yard yesterday!)

You look quite cute in your summer dress! Stay cool, Miss Lorenza!

It hasn't been all that warm here for the most part. We've had lots of rain. It'll be nice and warm for a few days and then it goes back to being chilly again. I'm ready for summer! Too bad we can't switch our weather with one another.

It was a quiet weekend here. Not hot at all. I think we're having a rather cool, rainy spring. Lots and lots of rain. We'll see what the summer brings. One season doesn't always seem to tell us much about the next one.
