Walkies

My weekend started pretty well. Yesterday morning me and my mom went out for a "batery hunting". Let me explain. The last two times I went to see my Vet he said I looked skinnier but his scale's battery was dead and he said he had not been able to find a new one. Last saturday I went again there for my "pawdicure" and happened the same. No scale. So my mom offered him to look for the battery. He gave my mom the old battery as a sample. During the week my mom did not have time to go to the stores so, the perfect time was yesterday. We went to 5 places. I am not allowed to go into stores so she chose the ones she could park the car in front of its doors so I could stay in the car while she went inside. Finally she found it. They were not very expensive so she bought 2. Next, we went to the Vet. He was not there but my mom asked to his assistant to put the new battery on the scale and weigh me. And yes, I am 1 pound skinnier! But maybe I am recovering that pound soon because when we came home, my grandma was making "burritos" and a big flour tortilla fell to the floor and as always I was in the right place and I stole it. And with those things you know what they say... "10 seconds in your mouth.... forever in your butt"!
And that is why my mom made me work for it! We went for a very long walkie. Almost 2 hours! There is a school far far away from my house and it has a very nice soccer field. I wish I could be there running free on the grass! I was so envy! There were lots of birds enjoying it! Hmmm... not fair!
Today was a lazy day. My auntie called saying they were going to be here until tomorrow. So, I am going to sleep early to be ready for them!
Have a good night

Hi Lorenza,

Very nice of you and your mom to find the battery needed by your vet. I always hang around the kitchen when mom is cooking too. You never know what tasty treat will fall at your feet! BOL I'm a poet and didn't know it.

No walkies for us this weekend. Mom went shopping without us yesterday and today it was raining all day.

Hello beautiful!

Wow your mom is really good to have found that battery! She is a very nice person to do that for your vet.

Long walkies are the best! But you look much more beautiful than we do when we walk.

Lots of Luv & Kisses

We're living a deprived life - we've never had a tortilla. But since it was Sunday, we did get eggs for breakfast so maybe it's not so bad.

Hi Lorenza,
Great job on the weight loss.. although I am still puzzled why you need to lose any weight at all as you look pawfect to me!!
Hope the burritos made the long walk worth it!

Do not lose to much weight or your granma will have to alter all your dresses. Nice of you to search for the battery for your vet.

Hey, not bad, Lorenza. You get a wonderful treat (even though you had to steal it) and a long walk! The 2 things that most dogs love...

Hi Lorenza
We love the way your lead clips onto the back of your dress!!
A top tip is to always hang around the kitchen when someone is cooking - there are always opportunities and glad one came your way.
Besides if your vet is thinking your too skinny you need extra calories. Bailey was at the vet last week and he thought the opposite!! She will have to join weight watchers.
The long walk would have done both you and your mom good - it looked such a lovely day.
How nice having your mom all week this week.
love

Lorenza,
I think that scales are bad things. Surely the V-E-T can just rub your trim self to determine how fit you are.

I think that my techniques will work well on your mom. You should try next time she has something you want. Let me know how it works.

Kisses,
Dexter

Hi Lorenza:

Such excitement at your house to score a tortilla!

I like to hang out in the kitchen too, just for the furry good smells. I have not been to the V-e-t yet but my Mom says when I go she will tell me to drop some pounds. But by then it will be summer and playtime, so it will be OK.

Kisses,
Stella

HI Lorenza,

One pound doesn't seem like very much. It is easier to put it on than to lose it though so maybe it's good you went on such a long walkie.

Your blue dress you're wearing kinda looks like a maids outfit, hee hee.
You should help your mum clean the house ready for your auntie coming.

You definitely don't need to worry about 1 pound! Gain it, lose it, gain it again. That's what happens to me too. If I'm with my dad too much I gain, with my mom I lose... It was nice of your mom to go battery hunting for the VET!
