Ouuch!...

Last wednesday, my mom came home earlier because we wanted to see on tv the inauguration of Santos new stadium...

I went out for my walkie then I had my dinner and we were ready for the show. My mom changed her work clothes for her pajamas and I took my place on the bed. Then... my mom started screaming... and crying. I did not know what was going on. She screamed louder. And I was very scared. My mom was calling for my grandma but my grandma could not hear her. My mom took me from the bed and we went downstairs. My mom put me on the floor and I rushed to look for my grandma. My grandma asked me what was happening. I came back where my mom was and my grandma followed me. My mom was at the door unable to walk any more. Next thing I knew, they were gone. I stayed with my grandpa while my grandma took my mom to the ER. There they gave her first a painkiller shot. Then questions, then laboratory tests, an ultrasound and finally a CT. The result... a kidney stone trying to get out!! Two days later, the stone is still there but my mom came home today at 4pm!

As you can imagine... we did not see the inauguration but everyone says it was pawesome!

Have a good night

PS... My mom went to check our Google Reader and it says we have 324 posts!!... This is going to be a long night...

  4. Hi Lorenza,

My mom had one of those stones once and she had to go to the ER too. So we know how much your mom was hurting. We hope the stone doesn't move again.

Sorry you missed the inauguration. Maybe you can find it on youtube.

  5. Oh boy - my dad just had kidney stones, too, multiple ones in each kidney. The doctors got the biggest one out with some kind of medical procedure, but he has to go back to the hospital in January for them to get the rest! I hear they're the most painful thing ever!

Tell mom to drink lots and lots of water!

  10. So that's why we haven't seen you - glad you are back. Our Mom says your mom had every reason to scream. Kidney stones are really bad. Our Dad has a history of them and even went to the hospital once in an ambulance because he couldn't get off the floor. Now he takes a pill that has really helped a lot, he hasn't had a stone in a long time. His stones were so big he had to have lots of special procedures done to try to blast it into smaller pieces. We sure hope your mom is able to get rid of that stone and feels better soon.

Why would they bother with those silly two legger cheerleaders when they could have had YOU there in several of you special Grandma creations??? And not a single worry about a Wardrobe Malfunction!!!
