Dia de Reyes

Rosca de Reyes!

This day, you take a slice of this bread and if you get the figurine you have to make a party the next February 2nd where the main dish are tamales.

*****

Los Reyes Magos brought me presents!

Here in Mexico, and mostly in the South, Los Reyes Magos are the ones who bring presents to the kids. Since I got my presents from Santa I did not write a letter to them, but, lucky me, they brought me something anyway!

An orange monkey

A pink elephant

A squeaky spider

Treats!

A "Calvin Can" sweater and pajamas

My mom cut a piece of rosca for me, which BTW I did not eat, and I did not get a figurine. My grandpa got it, so, he is going to buy the tamales next month!

Have a good night

Besos

  11. Wow!! You get presents from Santa and then almost two weeks later you get more presents from those other guys!!?? That's wonderful!! You are very lucky, Lorenza. And what nice presents they were.

And that dessert looks good, too! Too bad you didn't have any. If you got the figurine you could have pretended that it was a bone.
