My pig got a bath...

Looking at him...

Hanging from the tail....

Are you going to give it to me...?

I am happier now...

Saturday is "general cleaning day" in my house. Everything "washable" is washed. Today even my pig got that treatment. My grandma thinks that it is a lost case because it is sooo dirty that it is not possible to get rid of the black marks. I don't care. I love him and I have lots of fun shaking him.

Have a good night

Nopales/cactus

Nopales is something that lots of people eat here in Mexico. They are nutritious and have lots of medical benefits. My grandma cooks them in various ways...

My grandpa and my grandma love to eat them. I love them too. My grandma gives them to me in my veggie soup at noon.
And my mom... ? Well, my mom is another story. She does not like them. There is no way you can make her to eat them... Nope! No way! Yuck!

Then, the other day, my grandma went to the supermarket and there she found them dehydrated with chili. At home she told my mom to taste a little piece. And my mom loved it! And now it is my mom's favorite snack.

They don't look so yummy...

I decided to investigate them...

I tasted it...

And I did not like it!
I prefer the ones my grandma gives to me!

Sunday lunch...

Today morning, after having our breakfast, my grandpa asked to my grandma what "we" were going to have for lunch. This is something I hear every sunday morning. And my grandma gives to him the same answer every time... "I have no idea!".... We don't have lots of options because my grandpa is not allowed to eat many things.

Then, my mom took the newspaper and there she saw an ad about a new restaurant that is not far from our house soooo.... we went there.

It is called "Territorio TACO Modelo". The TACO word says it all. Tacos, tacos, tacos. My grandma went inside and came back with the menu so she and my mom could choose what they wanted. We had a good laugh reading the menu. All the dishes are named after Santos players. A lady took the order and we waited for it.

And waited...

And waited....

*Sigh*

Is it ready yet??

And something funny happened there. A man came to where I was and told my mom that I am very cute. My mom told him about my Santos dress and he asked to her to come back some day again with me wearing that dress so they could take a picture of me and put it inside the restaurant on a wall where they have the pictures of the players! Haaa!

We got our order and went back to home.

They ate. They did not share with me. And then I thought it was ok because they said the tacos were not the best... Hmmm... I guess we will not be back there again!

I had my veggie and chicken soup and for dessert a yummy frostie!

I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend and now you are prepared to start a new week!

My friend Bocci had a give-a-way last may and I was one of the lucky winners. The mean mailman came today to bring it to me...

Enough of pictures mom. It is my present from Bocci and now I am going to play with it!

It is a pawesome Dog Wool ball made by Pam Wheelock from Purrfectplay.
It is nice and soft and you can wash it if it gets fuzzy or dirty!

Saturday car ride...

I love car rides. A lot. But I am a smart girl and I know what direction takes a saturday morning car ride....

I have the feeling that this car ride is not going to be funny...

I knew it!

I don't want to be here.... can we go home, please??

No luck. My Vet "invited" me to come into the torture room. I went there... and a pawdicure and butticure were performed...

Going away as fast as I could...

Safe in the car...
No more torture...
Until the next month....
Hmmm....

Have a good night

All about your people....

Oskar invited us to participate in the All About your People Day!
As always... I am late....

We live in Torreon, Coahuila.
North of Mexico.

I live with my mom in a ridiculously small mini apartment built in the same ground of my grandparent's house.

Due to my grandpa's job, the family lived in different cities. They were living in Saltillo (capital of the state) where my mom studied to be a Secretary and Accountant. She never put in practice those skills. When she finished those studies she went to the University to study Plastic Arts, which is something she really loved at that time.
There she met a water-color painter and a few months later they got engaged. And, one month before the wedding my mom knew that she was not going to be happy with him and said bye bye to the artist.

Then, when she finished the second year in the Arts school, like many people in Mexico she had to quit her studies to start working. She got a job at an Advertising Agency where she developed her "artistic" skills.

One year later, someone came to offer her a job at a local TV Channel. He wanted her to be a newscaster. My mom thought she was not prepared for that and instead of that post, she took the Floor Manager spot.

There, she met a newscaster and a few months later they got engaged. And.... yes... the same story. He was very jelaous and that caused to my mom not to be herself and she felt scared of his behavior so... she said bye bye to the newscaster. But... he did not want to let her go and gave her hard times. Then, my grandpa talked with the family about wanting to come to live to Torreon, where all his family live. That was the chance for my mom to get rid of that man.

Here in Torreon, my mom got a job as a Purchasing Manager at an industrial plant. And that was funny because she knew ZERO about that and going from arts, advertising and television to industrial purchases was an interesting process.

There, she met an Accountant who was in charge of the Finances of the company. They got engaged and.... haaaa! once again... not the right person.

Since then, my mom decided to be a bachelor girl... and now is an "old maid"!

Things happen for a reason...

My mom goes to work at 7:15 am and comes back at 6:00 pm.
While she is at work, I stay with my grandparents who take very good care of me.

My grandpa is an Agronomist Engineer. He is retired now. And he is my naps mate.

My grandma has been a housewife for almost all her life. She is wonderful. She is the best cook. She makes magic with her hands. Knitting, needlework, stained glass... all the crafs you can imagine and of course... she makes my harness/dresses.
She always has time to play with me and we have lots of fun together.

I love them a lot.

Thanks Oskar for giving us the chance to talk about our people!

Have a pawesome day!

Interesting things...

My uncle and his kids come every sunday to have lunch with us and he always complains about his beer not being cool enough. He told my mom that instead of giving him non practical presents we should give him one of those "beer at the right temperature" gadgets. Sooo, we were looking for it. We found some that fit his wishes and then...

I saw some other products that got my attention....

Interesting, right?

I don't think my mom would buy any of those so I decided to leave her playing with the computer and I went to take some "fresh" air....
