Weather...

We have had rain the last two nights. Lots of rain. Hurricane Alex is playing games with us.
Due to the rain it is not very hot right now.

I was feeling sad thinking about our soccer team failure. Then I thought... What can I do to feel better?? Hmmm... A new dress can make the trick. I talked with my grandma. She understood me... And now I have a new one... and I went out for a nice walkie wearing it!

Back at home... I went directly to my doggie door... thinking of a nice splash in my pool... but a "Noooooo, Lorenza" made me stop...

OK. No splashes wearing my new dress.
Now... Where is my dinner??

Have a good night

Mexico, Mexico.... boooooo

Yesterday we watched the soccer game. And it happened what we all knew was going to happen... Mexico lost against Argentina.

Every 4 years our team promises the 5th game... every 4 years our team fails...

But.... I have faith. Now, we just need to wait 1460 more days and we will do it much better in Brasil 2014!

We went out to buy our food to watch the game...

I was wearing my mexican dress to show my support to our team...

Pollo Feliz (Happy Chicken) was our choice...

Here I am telling my grandma to hurry up...

It was very hot inside the car so... out for a little walkie...

Oh-oh! Too high for me...
Mom... help me...

Two "interesting" days...

Thanks a lot for wishing my mom a happy birthday. She had a nice day but it had could be better if she could had the chance to stay at home with me! She had to go to work. Her co-workers celebrated her with a yummy breakfast and they watched the Spain-Portugal game. Not bad, right?

Then, in the afternoon she saw a police persecution. Lots of patrols and white trucks (known to be the ones used by the bad people here). Then the sound of bullets. Lots of them. Fortunatelly she could turn on the next street and she came home safe. We heard the sirens and the bang-bangs for about an hour. Then silence. Today morning we knew there were more than 10 persons killed. So sad. Sorry I talked about this. But it was part of my mom's birthday "celebration".

Now... on my pool

My mom came to this extreme to see if I could come into it... Nope. It did not work...

Sooooo.......

Ta-Da! A new one. Nice and soft...

And as soon as she put it on the patio I did this...

I came into the "hard" pool for the first time...

And then I went to the soft one...

And I love it!

Pffftt...
Now, I enjoy my two pools.

And... to finish this post. Do you want to know about my sweet potatoe and chicken homemade treats?? Well.... they were thrown to the garbage! Haaaa!

As you know, I waited and waited for them but I could not stay awake for long. I went to sleep. Around 12:30 am my mom went to check them and they were ready. The sweet potatoe did not look very yummy but she thought that I was the one who had to taste them. She turned off the dehyrator. Took the treats out of it and waited until they were cool. Then she put them in plastic bags and left them on the table of my grandma's kitchen.
Next day, before going to work, my mom gave me my breakfast and then she gave me one of the treats. I tasted the chicken jerky and I liked it a lot.

Then. On thursdays, a lady comes to help my grandma to clean the house. And she thought that the content of those bags was rotten food. And she throw them away. The garbage truck came and... there they went!

Then, my mom came back from work. She looked for the bags and she could not find them. She asked to my grandma. She did not know about them. Then, she called to the lady to ask to her where she had put them. She told my grandma. And that was the end of my treats!

My mom promised me that tomorrow she will make more for me!

Hurray!

My mom got herself another birtdhay present... that will work in my favor!

Last year, a friend of my mom lent her a dehydrator to make chicken jerky for me. She made it a couple of times and then she gave it back to her friend.

We were looking for one of those machines here in Mexico and we could not find any. One day she visited a site that is more or less like ebay. We found one. Used. At a price of around $500 usd... Haaaa! My mom thought that she is crazy... but not enough to pay that price!

One week ago, another friend of my mom told her that she was going to go to the States and asked to her if she needed something from there. Yeeees! That was our chance. My mom gave her some money and told her what she wanted.... and today we got it!

Ta-Da!

You know me, right?
I had to inspected it...

Then, my grandma cut the chicken breast and a yam... and I was there making sure she did it in the right way!

The yam... or sweet potato... or camote (hmm... sounds better in english!)

The chicken...

And out to the patio...

It is 8:15pm and I am still waiting for them to be ready.
Wish us luck!

Mean birdies...

This is how my pool looked the last friday... almost deflated.
The culprit?

One of this...

My grandma was in the kitchen and she saw him pecking the pool.
She went to the patio to make him go away... but the damage was done. When my mom came from work, and my grandma told her about my pool... she was not happy.
Then she thought that she needed to buy another one for me but this time it would be better to get one of those made of hard plastic.

Yesterday morning she and my grandma went to look for it. They spent all the morning going to lots of stores without finding it.
It was time for lunch so they came back. My grandma was cooking and she needed some bread. My mom went to a supermarket that is 14 blocks away from our house. When she was there, she saw the pool she had been looking for! She bought the bread... and the pool. When she was in the parking lot... she knew the pool was too big to bring it home in her car... Yes... she walked the 14 blocks... with the pool on her shoulder... at 2pm... and with a temp of 11o degrees. I wish you could see her face when she got here... and to make it worse... she had to go back, walking the 14 blocks again to pick up her car....

Now the second part of the story...

The pool is to high for me. I am not very good jumping. My mom cut it to make easier for me to come in and come out of it...

Here I am inspecting it...

And my face says what I think of this new pool!

Sorry mom. I don't like it...

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all my friend's dads!

Many of you know that I don't have a human dad. But I have a Grandpa! And I love him a lot. He used to join me and my mom on my walkies, but he is no longer able to do that. His legs hurt. And now he has to spend a lot of time on his chair and I love to be there with him. Naps are our favorite hobby. And we do it very well. The other day both of us were snoring and my grandma thought that if we had a contest to know who snores louder... it would be hard to decide!

Today he, my grandma and my mom went to a restaurant to celebrate him. The food was yummy but they did not like the desserts. So, when they came back, they took from the freezer some ice cream popsicles covered with chocolate... not good for me, of course...

Chocolate and pecan...

But.... I enjoyed my own ice cream

Yummilicious!

Why are you laughing mom??
Do I have something on my nose??

Have a pawesome day celebrating your Dads and Grandpas!

A cool present...

Another hot day and I had to stay at home. No walkie for me today. I am not happy. Hmmmm...

This morning my mom went to Office Depot to check some chairs for her office. She did not find the ones she wanted. But, she found something very interesting for her... and she bought it. Not cheap but she said... "WTF (?)... this is going to be my birthday present"...

A station for the laptop! It has a fan that cools the computer. It is ideal to put on her legs.

I had to check it...

Is this the best present that you could get for yourself??

It has a little base for the mouse. My mom is lefty and she is happy that the base goes out to the left side!

Here she is with her new toy... It looks big, but is very light and... no more hot legs!

Now that she is enjoying it... I can have a good sleep while she is blogging!
